Title: Control Systems Engineer - Entry Level - 70703

Your Responsibilities

As a Control System Engineer for the John Deere Construction & Forestry division, located in Dubuque, IA, you will support model-based control design, analysis, and on-machine tuning of control features. This includes:

* Developing control system models for code-generation.
* Documenting control theory and field commissioning/tuning processes.
* Supporting development of quantified performance requirements.
* Working with the Dynamic System Modeling team to integrate control system and vehicle system models.

What Skills You Need

* Experience with Matlab, Simulink, and model-based system design
* Strong understanding of physics, mathematics, and dynamic systems
* Knowledge in embedded software, hydraulics, powertrain, mechanisms, or robotics
* Knowledge in control theory

What Makes You Stand Out

* Experience in dynamic system modeling or control design
* Expertise in control systems, embedded software, hydraulic systems, powertrain, mechanisms, or robotics
* Experience or knowledge of Agricultural, Construction, and/or Forestry equipment

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

* Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
* Master's degree in Control Systems or other relevant discipline, preferred
