Responsibilities

Wekiva Springs Center has been providing quality behavioral health and substance abuse treatment to adults and senior adults in Jacksonville, FL and the surrounding area for over 16 years. Our beautiful campus is specifically designed to facilitate healing and recovery. Our 120 bed facility is located near J Turner Butler Boulevard and I-95 South. At Wekiva Springs Center, our diverse continuum of care programs is designed to help patients achieve stability and develop coping skills that can promote long-term recovery and mental wellness. Wekiva Springs Center offers inpatient and outpatient programming to accommodate the severity of each patient's condition. We provide a safe and secure environment for addressing the pressing problems that can dominate those lives in our care.

We are seeking a Mental Health Technician for PRN position. The Mental Health Technician provides the following:

*Monitoring patients in order to ensure a safe environment;

*Notifies the Registered Nurse of any health or mental change of a patient

*Assists in patient transfer, admissions and discharges of patients;

*Completes vital signs and EKG as needed;

*If needed, may verbally de-escalate an agitated patient.

Qualifications

Qualified Candidates Must Have the Following:

Education: Qualified candidates must have either a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Certified Nursing Assistant, or has a minimum of two-years (2) years of inpatient behavioral health or substance abuse patient experience.

Certifications: BLS and First Aid Prior to Starting

Schedule Requirements: Must be able to attend one week of orientation and 2 days unit trainings. Must be able to provide 4 shifts per month with 1 shift being on the weekend
