Greenbelt Van Logistics Specialist

As Van Logistics Specialist, you will supervise and coordinate all logistics activities for Greenbelt Transport Van Fleet. You will be responsible for dispatch and logistics of chemical products throughout the United States and Canada. Responsibilities include management of independent contractors, distribution, customer relationships and satisfaction, safety, compliance, and other operations. You will partner with internal teams for supply chain efficiencies. Ultimately, you will drive the successful operation of our van fleet.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

* Builds, develops, and maintains relationships with internal and external customers (e.g. manufacturers).
* Delegates customer service requests to staff; resolves more complex cases escalated by staff.
* Leads team in providing top-tier customer service.
* Responsible for daily logistics decisions within the Van fleet.
* Maintains On Time delivery expectations.
* Manages driver issues.
* Promotes a safe, clean work environment to mitigate risks by planning, developing, and implementing procedures for all Logistics employees
* Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and company safety and other regulatory policies; including but not limited to OSHA, SOX, EH&S, HR, and DOT and Hazmat record maintenance and compliance.
* Ensures proper procedures are followed on loading/unloading and transportation of all products.
* Coordinates and trains Electronic Logs (ELD)/Hours of Service (HOS) functionality to all drivers.
* Be able to troubleshoot and diagnose all operational ELD/HOS issues on an as needed basis, 24/7.
* Proficient in HOS/PC Regulations to provide support to peers as needed.
* Performs other duties that may be assigned as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:

* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Ability to demonstrate successful past leadership in operations, transportation and/or managing personnel.
* Two Years related experience in Ag-Chemical industry and/or Logistics and inventory management.
* Must understand and be knowledgeable of all DOT rules, regulations, and requirements.
* Ability to organize and prioritize is essential.
* Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, prioritize and plan daily activities.
* Provide excellent communication with suppliers and with cross functional teams within the business units.
* Quantitative skills and ability to analyze data required.
* Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a timely manner required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:

* Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
* Two years experience leading people.
