CIB Finance and Business Management are seeking a dynamic self-motivated individual to be the Business Management (BM) Lead to support the Global Wholesale Payments Operations lead. The successful candidate will work day to day with the Global Payments Operations lead where they will build a strong relationship and become a key partner focusing on the groups strategic agenda, business strategy, planning, communication and governance.

They will also be expected to develop, and nurture key relationships with other Operations BMs as well as counterparts in the Business and Technology space to support an end to end as well as functional approach. The individual must be a highly collaborative partner, have a strategic mind-set, and be process oriented, with a proven track record (and 6+ years experience) of relevant skills in Payments, Business Management, Operations, Project Management, and / or Business Strategy. The role will report to the lead BM of the Wholesale Payments Client Service, Implementations and Operations group.

Responsibilities

Strategy And Planning:

With supported lead, develop and own future plan and strategy for operational support reflecting Business plans over the short to medium term and beyond (1 3 years, 3+ years).

Conduct horizon scanning, summarize and inform.

Own group Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Measurements (OGSM) development and accountability process.

Structural Governance Ownership:

Manage Business Reviews, Executive Reporting, Leadership Meetings and Offsite/planning other business events.

Assess and enhance Group organization and structure.

Be Aware of Strategic Investment Proposals/subsequent delivery) and performance Vs Plan.

Operational Delivery and Optimization:

Deliver data-based insights and actionable recommendations to enhance productivity, improve Client experience and reduce risk over all timeframes.

Deliver monthly MIS to Operational lead focused on outcome and Metrics That Matter.

Partner Management/Teamwork:

Focus on developing Product centric end 2 end approach, partnering, challenging and influencing as a matter of course. Emphasis on relationships with TS Product, Client Service and Technology and shared awareness and decision making.

Build strong relationships with functional partners (HR/Controls/Comms/Finance Management and wider F&BM colleagues) to promote partnership and shared awareness.

Active in development of junior team members and other employees.

Communication

Build a strong Payments operations story, deliver to internal ops population and external stakeholders

Develop platforms for creating connectivity between senior leaders and broader org to share achievements, challenges and organizational vision
