The men and women of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.

Position Summary

The Senior Compliance Data Analyst supports Reporting and Insights Team within the Electric Operation - Compliance and Governance group. The role involves working with a cross-functioning team to manage the reporting of PG&E's regulatory compliance activities and commitments in Electric Operations. The individual will support on the development of reports and dashboards on compliance activities and implementing QA/QC processes to ensure a high level of data quality characteristics: accuracy, completeness, reliability, relevance, and timeliness.

Job Responsibilities

* Work under limited supervision to ensure Electric Operations compliance data is complete, accurate, consistent, and verifiable in accordance with data quality and governance best practices.
* Work under limited supervision to perform data integrity reviews that for reports to senior leadership and external parties.
* Provide Quality Control support in reporting of compliance activities with our external regulators.
* Support overall strategy on all compliance-related reports and analysis.
* Support governance structure and framework of a compliance data universe as a source for on-going/ad-hoc reports, statistics, trends and profiles and report out on meaningfulness of the data.
* Maintain and develop steady state extracts and update operational dashboards in data analytics and business intelligence tools.
* Support special initiative project teams including implementation of process improvements and efficiencies including IT enhancements.
* Collaborate with team members on most effective field rollout of process, tool and/or reporting changes.
* Identify process gaps or data quality issues, recommend solutions, and support solution implementation.
* Implement and improve the data quality and governance QC checklist process to assure data integrity.
* May support research internally and externally to benchmark best compliance reporting and trending analysis best practices.
* Develop, implement, and maintain standards, procedures, and job aids to outline roles and responsibilities within the team and various supporting teams.

Qualifications

Minimum

BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Business, Law, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience
5 years of Job-related experience

Highly proficient in data analysis; knowledgeable in data collection, organization, synthetization, and reporting; ability to recognize trends and anomalies in data to draw decisive conclusions.

Proficient in data analytics and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, SAS, SAP or related).

Experience in development of operational metrics and key performance indicators.

Experience with reporting compliance activities and commitments.

Familiarity with utility operations, specifically regulatory compliance activities and commitments.

Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulator compliance activities (FERC, WECC, CPUC, CAISO, CalFire, or related).

Familiarity with compliance framework best practices (FSG, COSO, NIST, HIPAA, SOX, FedRAMP, or related).
