Job Description

The Compliance Investigations Manager will be capable of leading and managing investigations related to Linde’s Code of Business Integrity (CBI) program in North and South America (Americas).  This role serves as a primary point of contact for local investigations of HR, Legal and integrity related investigations for business units that have employees within the Americas. This role will be reporting directly to the Director of Compliance Investigations.

The Compliance Investigations Manager will provide vision, leadership and expertise as they lead investigations to ensure the consistent enforcement of the CBI program throughout the Americas. The incumbent should have the ability to think critically and strategically with a very high level of organization, lead non-direct reports, as well as be responsible for working across business units to support Linde America’s initiatives.

This leadership and management of CBI investigations will enable business leaders to focus on their primary function of driving company sales and productivity goals. This role will require the ability to operate independently and manage multiple competing priorities within required deadlines. This position’s primary business partners are Human Resources and Legal, however the ideal candidate will have the ability to assimilate during daily interactions with plants staff and corporate leadership.

Duties:

Collaborate with Human Resources, Legal and business leaders to provide recommendations based on case findings.
All cases will require a formal case report.
Articulate case findings verbally and written to local business partners.
Workload may be dictated by business need and activity of the corporate Integrity Line.
This position is required to maintain the highest levels of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.
Be accessible 24/7, as needed, as well as conduct business across all shifts and hours of the day.
Conduct interviews on and off-site based on witness and investigative need.
Requires the ability to overnight travel 75%, when needed.
They must demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Play a lead role in post investigation follow up or training needed for the business to ensure compliance in the future.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years' experience in Investigations, Compliance or Law Enforcement
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience would be considered.
Excellent communication and team interaction skills.
Ability to work independently, as well as lead/supervise non-direct reports.
Experience as a self-starter, who effectively manages multiple tasks, achieves results with minimal supervision and possesses excellent documentation and organization skills.
Time management and prioritization skills are essential.
Excellent investigation report writing skills (samples may be requested)
Experience in computers and standard software packages (MS Office, E-Mail etc.).
Understanding of regulatory and industrial standards and codes.
Maintain a lead by example approach related to Safety, Ethics and Compliance protocols.
