Summary:

This role is an opportunity to join the leadership team creating the future as we build and start-up Hersheys newest, state-of-the-art fulfillment center in Annville, PA. The facility will play a critical role in the companys strategic growth objectives delivering step-change commercial value, leveraging advanced technology and expanding agility for customer growth. Youll work directly with key leaders from Hershey and our 3PL partners to create the culture and foundational operating procedures that will ensure safety, quality and efficiency in our new hybrid operating model. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Storeroom Supervisor will lead and manage all functions and activities of the plant storeroom. The Storeroom Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the storeroom to include supervision of hourly personnel, budget adherence, and maintaining accurate and appropriate inventory levels to meet the needs of plant operations. The Storeroom Supervisor will coordinate with all departments to achieve high levels of customer service. The Storeroom Supervisor has 24-hour responsibility for Storeroom performance.

Major Duties / Responsibilities:

* Ensure accurate inventory levels
* Participate in budget setting process & maintain budget for storeroom
* Supervise hourly storeroom clerks and assist as needed
* Coordinate with vendors and regional ordering centers as needed
* Create Purchase Orders and buy parts when necessary
* Train and educate employees on storeroom functions and tasks
* Provide support to the Maintenance Planners and Technicians with spare parts kit building
* Perform all expectations and duties of the job in accordance with General Plant Rules, Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality Standards, HACCP Guidelines, Proper Protective Equipment requirements, OSHA Guidelines, and Hershey Global Behavior Standards
* Resolve discrepancies in condition or quantity of parts received
* Use hand tools, electric powered fork trucks or hoists as needed to support needs of stockroom
* Provide coverage for hourly employees as needed
* Perform cycle counting as needed and/or per generated schedule
* Effectively and timely communicate appropriate information daily, weekly, and monthly to all direct reports and peers by utilizing informal and formal communications one on ones, huddles, meetings, postings, etc.
* Lead/coordinate preparation of communications for area/plant
* Drive continuous improvement in the operation by fostering a continuous improvement mindset, elevating new ideas (both your own and those of your employees), and executing continuous improvement plans to positively impact the plant operations and goals
* Report, track, and drive store metrics (inventory turns, freight costs, employee safety, stock outages, etc.)
* Respond to after-hours needs for parts sourcing to support production requirements
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

* Strong change management skills, driving and implementing change to optimize the business focusing on safety, quality, and cost
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Knowledge of production systems
* Managerial ability (communication skills, delegation, motivation, etc.)
* Problem solving and decision-making abilities
* Knowledge of product quality standards and regulatory requirements
* Ability to work with and relate to all levels of personnel
* Ability to read/interpret production performance reports
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and work at heights
* Ability to lift parts up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to push/pull several hundred pounds with hand truck/pallet jack, etc.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

* Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is strongly preferred. 5+ years equivalent parts room experience in lieu of a degree

Experience:

* 2-5 years of SAP Inventory Systems experience preferred. Microsoft Office experience required. Previous people leadership experience is preferred.
