Job Description
DuPont Electronics and Imaging has an opening for a Process Development Engineer in the Chemical Mechanical Planarization Technology (CMPT) group Pad R&D Operations group. This exciting position is focused on developing new manufacturing technology and metrology. organization.
Responsibilities
* Develop and Deploy new manufacturing technology
1. Work within a cross functional team to optimize unit operations for a manufacturing platform.
2. Work with variety processing equipment involved in manufacturing polyurethanes
3. Manage small capital projects including modifying building layouts, managing contractors and communicating project spend.
4. Responsible for process safety and start-up reviews
5. Maintains responsibility and manage all the management of change and safety for their projects
* Develop Metrology for new manufacturing processes
1. Work with Pad Design and Development and CMP Analytical to understand the capability of all test methods deployed for use by CMP R&D Operations
2. Define and execute process development projects to enable the continuous development and improvement of CMP manufacturing processes
Job Qualification
* Education and Training: Minimum of B.S. degree in Mechanical, Chemical or relevant engineering field required. - Required
* 3+ years of experience manufacturing process improvement or process development - Required
* Experience with process development or design of process equipment is a plus.
* Ability to write programming code is a plus.
* Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader or higher Certification is desirable.
* Demonstrated track record of solving challenging engineering problems. Experience in production or pilot production plants is desirable.
* Candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills that will be required for cross-functional management of projects.
