Job Overview

Warehouse/Transportation Supervisor
The Warehouse Supervisor has responsibility for leading the safe, and lean management of the transportation and warehouse function at the Keurig Dr Pepper Concentrate facility. This Supervisor is accountable for inbound/outbound logistics, of finished goods, raw material, and packaging at the facility. They will manage and develop a team of 8-10 material handlers in a safe working environment. They will report to the Planning and Inventory Management function.

Shift and Schedule- 2nd shift 3pm-12am

Position Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the warehouse.
2. Ensure proper execution and implementation of all policies procedures with regard to picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
3. Train and evaluate warehouse staff on effective inventory techniques and daily tasks.
4. Assist and maintain appropriate inventory levels and product loss control.
5. Conduct physical counts of inventory and reconcile floor counts and inventory shipments.
6. Schedule and manage warehouse team members within labor and budget while meeting the demands of the facility.
7. Ensure compliance with safety codes, policies, and procedures of the Company and standards established by Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
8. Ensure all equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, and fleet trucks, is properly maintained and inspection practices are follow
9. * Provide input to optimize the network and align capacity cross regionally50% : Operational Responsibility for the For Hire Carriers and Inhouse (Splash) Fleet in the Louisville

* Lead a team of 1 Transportation coordinators on a day to day basis from order creation to execution (streamline process) and 11 Transport Drivers. Load planning includes: raw material inbound to the plant, 3rd party revenue lanes, and local shuttle moves, outbound branch deliveries.

* Confirm DOT/FMCSA and safety regulations are followed per driver, including monthly safety meetings, JJ Keller driver files, driver / truck audits, DVIR process, ELD audits and system knowledge.

* Identify, review and implement backhaul operations to meet/exceed budgetary revenue targets

* Work closely with the fleet team on equipment requirements (including PM's, communication on repairs needed, fuel cards, etc.)

* Effective communication day to day with coordinators and drivers

* Relationship building and continuous communication with backhaul customers

* Effective communication with internal shipping office personnel

* Knowledgeable and/or open to learn systems required for the position (SAP, Spireon, Peoplenet, Bluejay, Ryder, etc.)

* Review and improve upon the baseline for transportation costs

* Analysing fleet vs. carrier cost and service for best practices

* Understand the scorecard for transportation costs including: cost to operate vs. target cost, on-time performance, primary carrier utilization, and % handled by brokers.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing / six sigma techniques
* 3 years of experience in Warehouse Management, Inventory and Delivery, Operations experience in a warehouse environment
* 3 years of experience in a strong leadership role, presenting to regional leadership teams, local leadership teams, and front line employees
* 3 years of experience of inventory and financial cost management systems: SAP or similar system capability.
* 3 years of experience working with MHE, (material handling equipment) understand warehouse capacity requirements, building, loading, and delivery principals, FIFO and logistic principals
* 3 years experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
