POSITION SUMMARY:
The Distribution Operator II is responsible for the timely and accurate matching, packing, and shipping of all customer orders. Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment and pride in work is what we look for in our associates.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM-3:00 PM. Overtime may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Verify items ensuring order accuracy.
* Pack quality products according to standard work and regulation set by compliance department, ensuring quality product is safely delivered to customer.
* Pack hazardous and non-hazardous orders according to pick ticket instructions.
* Audit and inspect orders before staging and shipping. Audits include checking for proper labeling and verifying that the documents match the cartons packed.
* Escalate inventory inaccuracies to inventory control.
* Investigate aged and missing orders.
* Comply with company safety & housekeeping policies.
* Complete daily and weekly 5S.
* Participate in meetings, projects (planning and implementation), Kaizens, cross training, and assist in training of new employees.
Other Non-Essential Functions:
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Works in other departments as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* 3 + months of prior distribution experience preferred
Skills:
* Possess manual dexterity and good coordination
* Possess basic reading, writing, and math skills
* Ability to problem solve and resolve minor problems
* Some areas will require the ability to work with manual and/or power equipment.
* Ability to learn machine operations (including set up and changeover), and/or kitting.
* Proficient in oral and written communication skills
* Proficient in using computers for data entry and utilizing Microsoft Office programs

The employee is frequently required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, hear, and smell. The Romeoville facility requires continuous standing for duration of the shift.
The employee must frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 20 pounds and/or occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Employees will be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include: eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective smock, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields. Contact Lenses may not be required.
