Job Description
The Group Director, Still Sales, for Walmart US is responsible for leading our entire Still Beverage business across all Routes-to-Market within Walmart US, with responsibility for Retail Sales and Profitable Sales and OI growth. In this role, you will also have responsibility for understanding the customers business needs, identifying and managing issues faced and opportunities with various customer merchants across all Still Beverage categories, in order to develop viable solutions while working with the Coca-Cola brand and commercial organization.
Position Purpose
* Management responsibility for Still Beverage Category across all Routes-to-Market within Walmart Supercenters, Neighborhood Markets, Fuel Kiosks, and any other platforms that make up the Walmarts US business, as well leading cross functional partners to deliver the business plan.
* Drives organizational alignment and commitment against Company vision, strategy, and priorities
* Leads organizational change by creating a clear vision of the future business requirements
* Expert competencies in influencing/negotiation, innovative business development, stewardship, and delivering results
* Drives new category, product and package penetration; high level of collaboration with our North America Operating Unit Brand and Category leadership
* Translate knowledge of Consumer, Customer, & Price Package Planning into Innovative Business Solutions through value propositions utilizing Collaborating for Value and Collaborative Business Planning
* Expert understanding of our system economic and value chain model to deliver a favorable financial sales strategy
* Strong ability to utilize and lead cross functional partners to advance our position with Walmart US
Primary Responsibilities
* Conduct regular business reviews with customers in order to monitor relationship, re-affirm strategies linked to needs and steward the business, operational and/or personal value created for the customer by The Coca-Cola Company.
* Build business plan/solution and contingency plan in collaboration with the customer and brand/commercial using information collected during the account discover process to ensure plan meets customer needs.
* Participate in contract negotiations/re-negotiations with customer and Coca-Cola system in order to formalize the agreement.
* Manage associates. Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skill.
* Create and execute Annual Customer Business Plan in order to monitor relationship, re-affirm strategies linked to needs, and steward the business.
* Steward and lead multi-year Collaborative Business Plan sessions with and between customers and the North America Operating Units CMO team to ensure strategic alignment with customer.
Job Requirements
* Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
* 13-15 years sales or related industry experience.
* Knowledge of category management principles and experience applying/managing concepts at retail. Ability to develop and manage an integrated customer business plan.
* Problem solving and analytical skills, time management, business planning, profit management, trade budget management expertise.
* Strong leadership, oral & written communication skills.
* Ability to direct a team, manage priorities and deploy resources.
* Advanced Microsoft office computer applications skills.
* Intermediate skill with consumer research and decision support software tools.
