Job Description
Heres your opportunity to join an in-house creative marketing team for one of the largest, most successful retailers in the U.S. buybuy BABY is seeking a copywriter with strong creative talent, a collaborate spirit, and can-do attitude to join our team.
The Copywriter at buybuy BABY will collaborate closely with designers and marketing associates to create on-brand marketing assets that support our business objectives. The position reports to the Editorial Copy Director. If you thrive in a fast-paced, agile work environment and have the passion and ability to use storytelling to inspire customers to shop, then we want to meet you.
Responsibilities:
* Write engaging, effective copy for cross-channel marketing campaigns, including email marketing, print advertising, store signage, website creative, social media posts, and more
* Craft copy that clearly communicates marketing and business objectives and is on time, on brief, and on brand
* Work with marketing and business partners to obtain outstanding information, then incorporate feedback and changes swiftly and with a positive, solution-driven mindset
* Execute multiple projects simultaneously, practicing collaboration and effective communication with team members and managers at all times
* Proofread creative assets as needed to ensure accurate use of grammar, product descriptions, and our brands copy style
Qualifications:
* 4+ years of relevant professional experience
* Bachelors degree or equivalent in Communications, Advertising, English, or related studies
* Ability to work collaboratively with others with respect for their unique contributions
* Self-starter with effective time management skills
* Flexible, professional attitude
* Strong attention to detail
* Writing examples from retail or publishing industry
* Experience in retail industry, home design, parenting, creative agency and/or a startup environment is preferred
* Experience in Workfront and/or InCopy/InDesign a plus
