What you will do

Under specific direction, performs preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems (including troubleshooting of systems). Works with assigned customer accounts to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface. Properly completes required project and service documentation. Customer satisfaction is your highest priority.

How you will do it

* Works with customers on diagnostics and repair of complex system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems.
* Tests system software in multiple programming languages.
* Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Assists the customer to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Meets regularly with the customer to become familiar with operating problems.
* Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided and outstanding issues.
* Promotes the sale of add-on work.
* Adheres to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards.
* Compiles assigned job documentation, such as preventative maintenance documentation, service tickets and punch lists.
* Participates in training classes as assigned and conducts extensive self-study (reading, research and practice) to develop technical proficiency in company's product lines.
* Completes certifications and develops technical proficiencies as required by the company.

* Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequence and applications
* Strong Mechanical Mindset
* Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts, with a professional appearance and attitude.
* PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC direct digital controllers highly desired.
* Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields
* Able to use hand, power tools and electrical testing equipment such as a multi meter.
* Solid knowledge base in use of personal computers.
* Attention to detail.
* Good communication and listening skills.

Preferred

* Vocational School or Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, or similar field or 3 years experience in DDC control systems or HVAC .
* Preferred knowledge includes IT and Network understanding, HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
