If you are a Material Planning professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson Commercial and Residential Solutions- InSinkErator has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Racine, Wisconsin location, you will be responsible for overseeing the material planning and master scheduling functions. This includes, but is not limited to, the execution of strategic and tactical plans to manage the overall level of manufacturing output, raw material levels, leveraging pull planning to ensure continuity of supply to best satisfy the companys internal and external demand. In addition, participate in the companys Sales and Operation Planning process to achieve focus, alignment and synchronization among all functions of the organization to enable effective supply chain management.
1. Directly responsible for all material management functions relating to the planning, scheduling, inventory, raw materials, and finished goods to meet the company objectives and customer requirements.
2. Maintain optimal inventory levels to comply with corporate objectives
3. Ensure planning visibility relative to short and long-term demand, supply, and resource impacts
4. Cross functionality; extensive collaboration with various departments (sales, production, logistics, distribution, accounting, quality, and engineering) to maximize customer order fulfillment and manage customer expectations (internal and external) and communicate changes accordingly.
5. Embrace and deploy continuous process improvement philosophy with team through new ideas, processes, and technology.
6. Work closely with Engineering, Marketing, and Sourcing regarding new product launches, engineering change orders/notifications (ECO/ECN) and/or product discontinuations to properly manage supply levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory exposure for discontinued parts.
7. Review and analyze supply planning/master scheduling data and establish appropriate parameters to ensure continuity of supply while meeting inventory and continuous improvement objectives.
8. Develop and optimize item planning parameters within our ERP.
9. Conduct regular analysis of master scheduling/material planning performance vs. plan and implement corrective actions as necessary to improve performance.
10. Collaborate efforts with the Pull Planning Manager to utilize pull methods wherever possible to optimize replenishment and align supply with demand.
11. Monitor Item Master for integrity as it relates to planning system data/parameters.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
* Bachelors degree with concentration in Business, Operations Mgt./Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, minimum 5 years progressive experience in a combination of S&OP, purchasing, planning, logistics, production control and/or inventory control. MBA a plus.
* Work experience within formal ERP environment (i.e. Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards).
* APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification preferred.
* Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Planning concepts and application.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of the organization.
