Global Credit and Collections Senior Analyst

Job Description

This person is responsible for working under general supervision, manages accounts receivables for largest global customers across multiple operating groups to achieve goals established by financial services leadership. Responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with contacts, including branch management and global account managers. Responsible for four to six of top global customers.

Detailed Description

Collects accounts receivables in accordance with terms of global contracts and department objectives.

Creates and maintains necessary standard process documentation for each key account.

Reconciles outstanding accounts receivable balances to customer account documentation.

Analyzes customer billing processes to identify root cause of billing discrepancies and develops a process improvement and LEAN plan for internal and external contacts.

Participates in periodic reviews with immediate supervisor or region financial services manager of assigned accounts receivable portfolio, assigns goals and objectives, and takes necessary action to improve performance.

Conducts regular review of party aging to ensure accounts are loaded with correct payment terms, billing method, and collector assignment.

Evaluates collectability of unearned cash discounts, finance charges, small dollar invoices, etc. and performs write-offs of uncollectable amounts.

Prepares required reports for sales and branch visibility in order to monitor performance, including payment trends, disputes, and invoices to accrue.

Educates branch employees, operations, sales, and customers on specific account billing requirements per contractual agreements.

Monitors billing activity to confirm compliance or obtain action to remediate non-compliance.

Makes recommendations for customer credit limits, including branch level accounts for global customers.

Reviews orders on credit suspension to prevent delay shipments, and makes independent decisions to release orders on credit hold, or escalate higher-risk customers to supervisor.

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

2 years of accounts receivable, accounting, finance, banking, supply chain and business experience required, 4 years preferred.

1 year of operating systems; Oracle ERP, advanced collections required, 2 years preferred

2 years of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office experience required, 4 years preferred.

2 years of Ariba and SAP experience preferred.

EDUCATION:

Associates Degree is required

Bachelors Degree is preferred

Licenses/Certificates/Designations - NACM or similar

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills with a positive disposition is required.

Ability to work effectively with all levels of management to accomplish goals and objectives is required.

Reliable with strong organizational skills and solution-oriented philosophy is required.

Strong Excel skills such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc. is required

Willingness to travel as required. (1-3 trips per year) is required

Willingness to accommodate temporary working hour changes as required by workflow is required.

Ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate a willingness to accept new challenges is required.

Working Environment:

General Office Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
