Responsibilities
PER DIEM Position (3-4 days per week)
The HR/Clerk is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources with various duties and projects assigned. The HR/Clerk maintains all personnel files, data entry of all file requirments, new hire orientation packet preperation. Assists with the compliance of hospital standards. Also, assists other departments with support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school graduate, or equivalent.
Experience: At least (1) year office work experience, preferably in a health care environment.
Additional Requirements: Typing speed of at least 45 wpm required. May be required to work occasional overtime and must be flexible with availability.
RESPONSIBILITIES/STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
1. Assembles new employee files, follows-up with employee should there be incomplete or missing paperwork, completes Check-off List in the process
2. Stores terminated files accordingly
3. Assists with New Hire Orientation by assembling the new hire manuals, reserving the room, ordering breakfast and / or lunch, and room set-up
4. Prepares Human Resources invoices and check requests
5. Assists in the annual Open Enrollment process
6. Assists Director of Human Resources with monthly reports and various projects
7. Reviews mail daily
8. On a monthly basis, updates HR system, employee files, and distributes cards to employees re:
1. CPR training
2. CPI training
1. Inputs employee information into HR system as necessary (change of address, name change, etc.)
2. Scores employee competencies and re-orientation packets and follows-up with employees when needed
3. Maintains updated spreadsheet (Staff Education) for hospital staff relating to competencies/training and re-orientation
4. Maintains updated spreadsheet for background checks that need to be run every two years, emails Department Heads / Supervisors with authorization form for employee to complete
5. Update new hire / rehire / intern packets with new policies
