* Evaluates appraisals of properties
* Understands real estate market trends
* Assists loan officers, loan processors, underwriters and management by explaining valuation and appraisal issues
* Reviews appraisals to ensure standards are met; Contacts and follows up with appraisers for clarity on adjustments or methods as appropriate to ensure compliance under the direction/guidance of a licensed appraiser
* Reviews content, assumptions, and other aspects of appraisals and valuations for consistency
* Maintains knowledge of loan product underwriting guidelines, internal policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

* Bachelors degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below
* 1+ Years of related experience
* Appraisal Trainee License or Certifications for 15 hour USPAP class, Basic Appraisal Principles and Basic Appraisal Procedures Preferred
* In depth knowledge of residential real estate valuation methodology and techniques
* Strong analytical and evaluative skills with the ability to combine numerous disparate pieces of data into a comprehensive structure to improve evaluative accuracy and effectiveness
* Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills with the ability to explain interpretive and subjective decisions
* Ability to manage workflow and adapt to changing conditions based on business objectives and priorities
* Strong prioritization and organizational skills including the ability to establish and change priorities based on sound business reasoning

* Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.
