Provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the provision of patient care.Over seen by the assigned RN and/or Charge Nurse. Reports to the Manager of the Unit and CNO.

Qualifications:
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit.Knowledge of growth and development over the life span.Must be able to communicate effectively, in English, both verbally and in writing.

* Formal nurse assistant course and/or one year nurse assistant experience preferred

* California Certified Nurse Assistant

* American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification

* Non-violent crisis intervention/verbal de-escalation course within 3 months of hire
