Qualifications and Work Experience Required
* Prefer 2-5 years manufacturing experience.
* Ability to read blueprints and work with measuring devices.
* Demonstrated computer skills. Ability to learn new software platforms i.e. Oracle, Access, SharePoint, etc.
* Ability to use all standard inspection tools (i.e., calipers, micrometers, height gages and comparator). Preferred CMM experience desired.
* Ability to lift 40 lbs.
* Ability to work in a controlled environment, if applicable.
* Ability to wear appropriate PPE to include a minimum of safety shoes and safety glasses.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time.
* Must be willing and able to work mandatory weekday and weekend overtime hours as required to meet the production needs of the team.
* Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a team-based environment that heavily emphasizes quality, performance, cross-training, customer service and high accountability.
Job Summary
* Perform various manufacturing duties, including CNC machining or Specialized Equipment Operation, as required to ensure the team meets all goals and objectives.
* Set-up and operate CNC and/or other specialized equipment. Manufacture implants and/or instruments using CNC lathes and mills. Complete manual inspection activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Demonstrated ownership of equipment, performing regular Autonomous Maintenance including cleaning equipment and work station
* Engage in continuous improvement activities such as exposing problems, collecting data to solve problems, and suggesting improvement ideas
* Interpret blueprints and guide sheets
* Understand and follow all policies and procedures related to GMP/QMS/SOP
* Prefer familiarity with manual machining including lathes, mills and/or grinders.
* Prefer capability to assess equipment performance and perform first level troubleshooting
* Level I or Level II certification on X-Ray and FPI inspection
* Lead small scope improvements with guidance from manager
* Understanding of Problem Solving or Lean processes
* Ability to operate inspection systems/machines (CMM, Vision inspection, FPI, Microscope, OGP, PVS)
* Perform other various manufacturing duties as required to ensure the team meets all goals and objectives.
