DESCRIPTION
Amazon Worldwide Operations and Consumer is looking for communications strategy managers who will create, build and support the Global Associate Experience Team (GAEX). This position will work directly with a team of communications professionals who serve as the primary hub for People, Experience and Technology (PXT) team. This position is an individual contributor role and will report to the Senior Manager of Communications on the GAEX Team.
This individual should be curious, intuitive, has high-judgement, and is self-motivated to drive communications messaging and strategy in partnership with Operations leaders, HR leaders, and members from the internal communications team.
The position will provide support for WW Operations and Consumer organization messaging through clear, factual communications to provide strategic communication counsel to cross-functional partners on a wide range of business related and complex topics. You will be subject matter expert on key business issues affecting our lines of business in operations. You will understand and manage issues that affect the business along with executing on strategic leadership communications, and programs. You will be accountable to coordinate message management focusing on two-way feedback channels to enable continuous improvement.

You will create communication strategy, develop internal process, and support and implement on specific projects. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelors degree from an accredited university
5+ years of communications including issues/crisis and change management experience within a national company or logistics/retail company
Excellent written and verbal communications, with the ability to think and communicate clearly, formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative
Proven track record of delivery on major internal or external communications campaigns
Experience developing relevant content for a diverse, remote and mobile workforce
Experience creating metrics to measure communication effectiveness, reach, and engagement
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to form a cohesive and effective outcome from potentially incongruous facts (or lack thereof) and individual perspectives
Ability to exercise high judgement, particularly in a narrow timeframes
Strong project management, time management, organizational skills, facilitating work for teams that are responsible for cross-functional deliverables
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree (technical or MBA) from an accredited university
Project Management Professional or equivalent certification
Experience running a regional or national internal communication campaign within a site based operating environment
Experience developing creative, effective approaches to complex communications challenges
Influencing skills, political astuteness and commercial acumen to be seen as a trusted advisor to their peers and with stakeholders
Possess a strategic approach to problem solving
Able to anticipate potential reputation issues
Willing to roll up ones sleeves and get work done, even when at times it is outside the scope of the job
