Job Description:
* Prepare HFM Financial Statements by Sector for Management reporting purposes
* Analyze Financial Statements
* Perform Month End Close processes, reporting, and close entries.
* Perform analysis and prepare monthly accrual journal entries to ensure month end general ledger records and accompanying management reporting are accurate.
* Analyze and prepare correcting journal entries to ensure accurate and timely charging to the ledgers, including program direct, overhead sub-ledgers, and the general ledger.
* Provide auditors with data requested and auditor interface for internal, public and government audits.
* Perform Sarbanes Oxley control narrative maintenance & resulting control reporting.
* Works with other departments to complete Revenue Recognition forms
* Prepare Corporate Tax Information Packages and 10K filing data
* Review processes and identify areas where efficiencies can be achieved
* Perform special projects as required.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in a related field of study with six (6) years of relatable experience in a corporate accounting department working directly with the general ledger or the equivalent combination of education and experience
* Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance which requires US citizenship.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office with heavy emphasis on Excel - formulas, sums, settings, vLookup, sumif, pivot tables, etc.
* A self-starter who takes personal responsibility for identifying and solving problems
* Experience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Corporate Accounting/Finance.
* Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Knowledge of and experience with SAP.
* Knowledge of and experience with HFM and/or Hyperion Planning.
* Experience with revenue recognition is a plus.
