Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Client Innovation Center in Baton Rouge Louisiana has an immediate opportunity for a forward thinking Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) Developer with a passion for growth and innovation. IBM Client Innovation Center: Baton Rouge is currently growing its HANA ABAP Development team. Our clients are some of the worlds leading companies and you will be part of challenging projects to build and support technical solutions for their needs.

As an HANA ABAP Developer you will be expected to support development on numerous SAP Systems. You will understand SAP Tools, SAP Application Servers & Netweaver and HANA platforms among others for building business applications. Understanding business processes and challenges and being able to translate them into requirements and solutions is key. Experience with HANA versions of SAP is required. One will use their in-depth SAP ABAP development skills, business knowledge, and expertise to effectively develop solutions for the clients business environment in order to achieve client expected business results. This position is to create and support ABAP programs as per project needs. We also require experience with the ABAP Workbench. Workflow knowledge is a plus. This is a hands-on role and requires you to design and develop solutions.

Successful candidates for these positions will work onsite at the IBM Client Innovation Center in Baton Rouge. The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Baton Rouge center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). You are expected to travel up to 50% of the time. This is a traditional office position. You must live in, or be willing to relocate to, Louisiana. The work location is 100 North Street Baton Rouge, LA 70802. This is not a work from home position.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* At least 3 years experience in SAP ABAP Development in SAP ECC
* At least 3 years experience in Gathering and analyzing requirements
* At least 2 years experience in 3 or more SAP modules
* At least 3 years experience in ABAP Workbench
* Basic knowledge in Client interactions
* Basic knowledge in Technical writing and documentation skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5 years experience in SAP ABAP Development in SAP ECC
