Job Description

The Lead Development Chemistwill be responsible for a Key Account Technical Team residing in the larger Americas Liquid Industrial Coatings Technical organization! You will be an authority that drives the team towards the realization of encouraged deliverables!

Key Responsibilities:

* Prioritize, design and project manage associated key account liquid projects
* Assess the performances of technical personnel and advise their professional growth
* Plan and conduct experimental work such as the formulation, application and testing of coatings
* Analyze and interpret experimental results effectively to supply to the development of new and improved products
* Work closely with the customer to understand their needs and how to incorporate these needs into new products
* Work in conjunction with Manufacturing and/or other functions to facilitate new products from the laboratory into production
* Work toward technical milestones and deliver results against established timelines
* Maintain and grow an understanding of industrial coatings, leveraging that knowledge in product development and technical support
* Maintain and communicate results through written and verbal summaries, coatings reports, test drill presentations and gate review updates

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
* A minimum of 10 years coatings formulation experience
* The ability to see and discern color
* Prior experience in the coatings industry with liquid knowledge is preferred
* Strong ability to work with demanding customers
* Strong communication and trouble-shooting skills
* Validated leadership skills
* Ability to travel domestically 10-20%
