Chicago is HDFS corporate headquarters and serves as the home office for employees who work in Accounting, Business Intelligence, Corporate Strategy, Credit and Risk Management, Marketing, Sales, and Securitization. Job Summary

Strategy and analytics professional with the ability to drive change in an organization through analysis, collaboration, vision and leadership. Innovative leader that thrives on finding creative solutions to complex business problems. Extensive experience in developing financial models, the use of analytical methods for strategy development, validating outcomes, and forecasting results. Excellent ability to synthesize complex information into guided analysis for presentation to Sr. Leadership and key stakeholders. Coordinate with key leadership to integrate models and analytics into existing strategies and work with Operations, Risk and Marketing partners to identify future opportunities. Remain in touch with industry and technology trends and provide thought leadership to future strategy of Risk Management at HDFS.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for development and implementation of underwriting strategies for a broad spectrum consumer loan portfolio
Provide insight and recommendations in regards to pricing, marketing and CRM analytics.
Coordinate with key leadership to integrate models into existing strategies and work with operational and risk partners to identify future opportunities to grow originations and automate decisions.
Business owner of the credit decision engine utilized to support underwriting decisions, implementing new business rules, and leveraging full capabilities of the originations platform.
Risk representative for the co-branded Harley-Davidson Visa card, including management and monitoring of an HD backed portfolio, loss forecasting, and support of the budget and forecasting process
Continually looks for opportunities to expand organizational knowledge, leading the discovery and evaluation of new technologies and data sources.
Capability to expand responsibility to support HDI-level analytic needs
Maintains a current awareness and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply fully with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Education Specifications

A Bachelors Degree is required, along with 10+ years experience in financial services industry. Advanced Statistical degree or MBA preferred.

Experience in consumer engagement or marketing analytics a plus.
Strong database and/or SAS programming knowledge
Proven ability to perform complex statistical analysis.
Ability to distill complex analytics to readily understandable business recommendations.
Creative thinker, problem-solver.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff
Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment
