Job Description:
Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 6 years experience in design and support of high reliability military electronics packaging from concept through production and test.
The position will require performing mechanical engineering activities related to the design, analysis, documentation, processing, fabrication, assembly, and qualification of mechanical designs for airborne and space applications with stringent technical, schedule, and process requirements
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
* 4+ years experience in Mechanical Design, CAD Experience, Fabrication Process knowledge, environmental qualification experience, production support experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Experience in environmental qualification of product including familiarity with Mil-Std-810 is highly preferred
* Experience in machine shop practices, composite construction, and fixture design for assembly, manufacturing tooling and test
* Experience in stress and vibration analysis and familiarity with FEA (Ansys)
* Experience in preparing documentation for and presenting at PDR, CDR and TRR functions
* The ability to work with and/or lead cross functional teams for product development
* Strong communication and writing skills
