Manufacturing Engineer

Under minimal supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer interacts with multiple functions to analyze manufacturing processes and assists in recommending and implementing approved changes. This role ensures quality products, improves processes, troubleshoots, reduces cost and eliminates waste. JOB DUTIES
* Ensures production key performance indicators are met or exceeded.
* Maintains and reviews on time metrics with management and the production team.
* Ensures product quality is maintained and defects are minimized in conjunction with the Quality Team.
* Designs and implements production processor new electro-mechanical assemblies, cable and harness assemblies
* Analyzes and reports time study information with the Production Planner for capacity planning.
* Resolves issues with production related defects.
* Ensures products are built to proper revision levels by updating prints, procedures and other related documents.
* Assists New Product Introduction with developing procedures and documents according to customer specifications.
* Documents control for procedures, schematics and assembly drawings within ISO 9001 guidelines.
* Maintains 5S methodology within the production area.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
* Ability to identify processes that need improvement.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of electrical and mechanical assemblies a plus.
* Experience working in Microsoft Dynamics SL and Sharepoint a plus.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* Typically required a bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering and one (1) to three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
