SUMMARY
This position will provide support to the maintenance department in performing various job functions and responsibilities. The Maintenance Custodians primary function is to clean the offices, break areas, and other areas of the facility that are utilized by personnel.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Empty all trashcans and replace liners daily.
* Dust open desk areas (must not disrupt documents on surface).
* Vacuum all carpet areas including stairs daily.
* Dust and mop all tile floors, wet mop entry area, coffee bars and side entry near guard desk.
* Clean counters, sink areas and tables in Break room; and sweep and mop floor. Restock paper towels. Empty refrigerators on Friday afternoons at 5:00 P.M.
* Clean Restrooms - mop floors and restock paper dispensers.
* Clean all glass door entrances
* Dust all file cabinets, tops of partitions, window ledges and tops of desk cabinets. Do not remove personal items. Dust vents in ceiling where accessible.
BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
* High School Diploma or GED preferred
* Previous maintenance experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
* Must demonstrate attention to detail
* Must be able to utilize a box cutter
* Must possess a sense of urgency
* Organize, prioritize, and control job responsibilities
* Recognize discrepancies in written/recorded data/information.
* Possess clear verbal communication and listening skills
* Able to work with minimal supervision
* Understand and accurately follow policies, procedures and controls
* Work as scheduled to meet standards of company attendance policy
* Performs the task of the job meeting the standards of the department

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
* Must be able to lift as required by department: up to 50 pounds
* Must be able to bend, stoop, reach over head with arms and hands and climb ladders; must be able to climb stairs up to three flights
* Ability to walk and stand for 8 hours or more a day, especially during seasonal period
