Lilly is designing and building a new state of the art Parenteral, Device Assembly, and Packaging Facility located at the Research Triangle Park (RTP) in North Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity to help build and operate a state-of-the-art manufacturing site and Quality System from the ground up.

The Supply Chain Associate (SCA) is responsible for Material Flow, Project Planning and Execution Support, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management. The SCA ensures the material handling system and supporting processes are designed and implemented utilizing lean principles enabling the flow of material and information across the campus while supporting operations rates.

The Supply Chain for this facility will be highly integrated, minimizing inventory holding, utilizing reusable/returnable containers and pallets in closed loop system design.

Responsibilities:

Material Flow

* Create and maintain a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) for assigned materials. The PFEP will include but not limited to supplier data, both SAP Bill of Material and non-Bill of Material items such as reusable containers and pallets, product usage expressed as quantities and rates across the RTP site. The PFEP will be a living document that will be used throughout the project delivery phase enabling a smooth transition to operational execution.

* Support lean principles and ensure efficient and effective material flows are maintained

* Support value steam mapping initiatives across the RTP site

* Coordinate cross functionally to ensure appropriate container harmonization is achieved across both internal Lilly sites and external supply network

Project Planning and Execution Support

* Establish effective relationships with the joint process teams, Lilly sites, functional areas, and external partners

* Coordinate with Supply Chain Orchestrated Planning and Lilly North American Customer Service to ensure demand flowing to RTP is balanced with site delivery of capacity. Communicate changes as required.

* Review demand requirements with cross functional Project team and facilitate alignment to a unified plan that balances customer service, capacity, and operating efficiencies

* Update planning and execution systems as required

* Help align project plans to meet and/or exceed customer service expectations

* Perform timely system transactions to reflect the applicable flow of material through RTP

* Provide customer support to internal and external partners

* Communicate supply concerns, when appropriate, and help drive action plans

Procurement

* Serve as a Buyer representative for RTP though the project phase inclusive of BOM and non-BOM components needed for various commissioning and qualification activities

* Create and maintain all MRP and Non-MRP orders

* Serve as a procurement liaison for CMs and Suppliers for the RTP Project Team

Supply Chain Management

* Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of project plans, launch plans, and sourcing activities

* Provide consult to the Global Supply Chain regarding Inventory Targeting, Risk Assessment, and Life Cycle management

* Support the creation and maintenance of key business agreements (Supply Agreements, MRDs and Quality Agreements)

* Utilize Operational Standards for Supply Chain Excellence principles & processes, to analyze supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement

* Manage material inventories and mitigate obsolescence risks as the project team moves towards operational readiness

* Perform inventory reconciliations, resolve discrepancies

* Support and conduct supply chain assessments as required, and implement action plans to project delivery disruptions and improve supply chain effectiveness

SAP Data Stewardship

* Serve as siteSAP data steward, ensuring timely and accurate SAP set-up of data elements to enable demand flow to the RTP site, supply of product both to and from RTP site (internal and external), execution of testing, qualification, validation and production activities.

* AttendPower User forums and communicate pertinent information

* Provide supply chain education and support the creation of processes and procedures

* Supportand provide input intoRTP site IT set-up and testing as required

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Logistics (MBA is a preference)

* At least 2 years of experience in Supply Chain and Logistics management (S&OP, demand management, customer service), matured in industries with complex supply chain (e.g. - Automotive, FMCG, Pharma/Medical Devices)

* SAP User/Experience in using ERP systems

* Demonstrated Project Management skills

* Ability to communicate and influence effectively across functional groups

* Strategic thinking and capability

* Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively

* Enthusiasm for changes, team spirit and flexibility

Additional Preferences

* APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) certification

* Lean Six Sigma experience
