FUNCTION OVERVIEW:

Overall, the Manager of Engineering will be responsible for leading all facets of Engineering while providing technical direction in problem solving and developing a strong understanding of appliance operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments
* Design and scale up manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment and tests manufactured products to maintain quality Plan, design, and estimate time and cost, while overseeing structures, facilities, systems and components
* Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures
* Discover, develop, and evaluate new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translate research discoveries into usable and marketable products
* Lead, plan and track all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace
* Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation
* Identify/define/solve impactful direction of business and lead multi-disciplinary initiatives
* Influence functional strategy and execute departmental business plans Monitor expenditures and forecasting resource inputs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
* 5+ years of engineering experience

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

* Operational Excellence (OpEx) certification a plus but not required
* Solid understanding of Problem-Solving Method (8D), Project Summary Report (A3)
* and General Problem Solving (1X1) problem solving tools
* Customer to Customer (C2C)
* Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
* First Parts Approval (FPA)
* Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
* Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)
* Measurement System Evaluation (MSE), process control, and control plans Ontrac knowledge
* Six Sigma, Kaizen, World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
* Excellent interpersonal skills required
* Ability to create and lead cross functional teams to resolve issues and deliver results
