About the Role

Boston Scientifics Digital Solutions team is dedicated to transforming the lives of patients and improving physician and provider experience globally. The team will deliver digital health solutions designed to improve health care delivery, optimize user experience, and reduce cost burden. We are currently looking for a strategic leader who is passionate about conceptualizing and developing compelling digital tools that improve patient access to critical therapy while improving health system efficiency. This position sets the strategic direction & prioritization of digital investments surrounding one of our highest growth therapies. This position will have dual reporting to both the VP R&D and IT Director for Watchman. This newly structured role will collaborate across the Watchman franchise to define and execute on the Watchman Digital Strategy.

Responsibilities:

* Partners with Business Leadership, Marketing and all internal Business Leaders to evolve the product vision and roadmap, while being an entrepreneurial leader for the internal product development startup.
* Works directly with customers to understand user needs and support product implementations
* Optimally balance immediate business needs, user & patient needs, requirements and broader BSC Digital Health Strategy
* Drives technology decisions and software development best practices in a cloud-native development methodology, within the context of healthcare
* Accountable for the ongoing development and support of existing digital products that directly contributes to business growth and patient access
* Incorporate Agile, Lean, and User Centered Design methodologies to execute on product development, implementation, and operations
* Ensures compliance to all aspects of quality, regulatory, security, privacy and legal requirements by working with internal functional subject matter expert stakeholders. Works effectively across functional groups, including, but not limited to IT, quality, regulatory, legal, and marketing
* Leads all product activities including backlog grooming & prioritization, product releases, product support, ongoing enhancements, product quality and compliance, and end of life activities from commercial, compliance, technical and IT aspects
* Collaborates with engineers and UX/UI to leverage the optimal development methodologies and processes to deliver on business objectives

Basic Qualifications

* BA/BS Management Information Systems, Business, or Computer Science/Engineering
* Experience providing vision and developing strategic roadmap for a digital product portfolio Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams
* Experience and accomplishment with Agile software development and commercialization
* Expertise in Cloud-Native technology leverage (Also known as full-stack, cloud-based development and commercialization)
* Ability to analyze issues, develop and deploy solutions within a dynamic, uncertain and complex environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including requirements analysis, debugging and risk assessment
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously and drive for the right solution

Preferred Qualifications:

* 10+ years architecting & building products from conception through maturity
* Demonstrated success building strong teams and relationships with partners and customers
* Experience in technologies such as Backend: Java (Spring), Node, Postgres, MySQL, AWS, EKS/ECS and Terraform/CloudFormation / Frontend: TypeScript, React/Angular/Vue
* Experience in working on native application on iOS and Android
* Experience working in Health care environment
* Good understanding of application security and regulatory compliance (HITRUST CSF, HIPAA)
* Demonstrated an ability to successfully challenge the status quo - pushing for more flexible, scalable, innovative and impactful products
