Software Engineer, Senior
Key Role:
Support day-to-day operations focused on building a next generation automated malware analysis system. Apply industry best practices to all development efforts and review, analyze, and modify software systems, including coding, testing, debugging, installing and documenting. Develop software documentation and support system administrators with the installation of software applications and development of training materials. Lead and mentor junior team members, guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, conduct feasibility studies, and estimate resource requirements for software tasks for inclusion in the project budget and schedule.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with service-based, web-based, and non web-based application design and development, including back end database architectures, relational and cloud-based, and full life cycle software development
-Experience with software development in object-oriented and scripted languages, including JavaScript, C++, Perl, Python, Ruby and Docker
-Experience with leading large software development programs
-Experience with industry best practices for the development of software systems, including coding, testing, debugging, installation, and documentation
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and 12+ years of experience with software development, MA or MS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and 10+ years of experience with software development, or 16+ years of experience with software development in lieu of a degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with OS hardening and firewall configurations preferred
-Experience in CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Ansible, and Puppet preferred
-Experience with implementing identity and access management components preferred
