The Senior Analyst provides overall support to the ad sales division of the company by compiling and reporting insights derived from research tools and data systems.
Responsibilities include development of research materials supporting the sales efforts of our ad sales divisions. Materials include ratings estimates, sales one sheets, trends and tracking. The Business Insights Analyst will be tasked to support businesses by deriving key performance metrics from qualitative and quantitative data resources that includes Nielsen, Scarborough and Set-Top Box data. Being able to follow industry trends and help craft sales materials to help support a4s linear and digital products.
Skills need to fulfill this role include extensive knowledge of MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Exposure to SQL and database querying tools such as Tableau and Microstrategy is added benefit. Additional functions include
* Subject matter expert on analytic processes including media planning, and audience estimating methodology
* Provide research support to the Marketing and Sales Enablement team for development of media kits and sales packages
* Develop quantitative and qualitative stories supporting specific advertiser rationale to advertise with a4
* Create general sales materials including trending reports, rating highlights, market analysis and ranking reports
* Utilize Census Data/Mapping system to develop reports down to system geography to match client qualifications
* Create coverage area mapping for client specific and overall use for marketing and ad sales
* Building custom audiences based on client requirements
* Analyzing audience segments to develop attribute profiles of the audiences, including demographic and consumer attributes
* Developing and implementing tests to determine relationships between audience segments and campaign performance
* Produce data usage reports for data providers
* Minimum undergraduate education (Graduate degree in related discipline preferred)
* 1-2 Years minimum relevant working experience preferred
* SQL, Python, R, other scripting language a plus
* An interest in learning how to apply these technical skills to the television/digital advertising industry
* Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, analytical and data visualization skills
* Team oriented individual
