The Strategic Sourcing Department has an opening for a Senior Leader of IT Strategic Sourcing. This position is located at our Corporate Office in Pleasanton, CA; however, work location is flexible depending on the candidate.

We are looking for: A dynamic global strategic sourcing technology leader who can drive change and add tremendous value to an evolving organization, while developing the people, processes, and results to the highest levels of performance; an objectives/metrics driven executive supporting the top level objectives for the company. The individual must also have proven partnership skills as well as an ability to influence executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Build out and lead a world-class IT sourcing organization as it undergoes a major technical and organizational transformation
* Create and deploy a consistent methodology to select IT suppliers/ vendors that meet Albertsons' business requirements and ensure that all due diligence is performed ahead of any agreements
* Partner with IT executive leadership to identity opportunities to optimize cost and quality of products and services as we transform the organization with an eye towards simplifying and rationalizing our vendor partners and tool/product utilization
* Drive significant year-over-year improvements in total cost of ownership and capital spend while maintaining and improving service levels
* Maximize ROI with existing and future IT asset investments
* Develop processes to evaluate, authorize and manage external relationships/use of outside vendors and resources to accomplish IT initiatives and projects
* Establish and oversee vendor performance metrics to ensure service levels are met or exceeded
Qualifications:
* MBA or Master's Degree (preferred, but not required)
* 12+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, with a minimum of 8+ years in IT categories
* Proven experience in global IT sourcing and procurement capabilities, including insourcing and outsourcing both onshore and offshore
* Proven experience in Public Cloud negotiations and management
* Consulting experience (preferred, but not required)
* Proven experience in effectively managing executive-level strategic supplier relationships
* Demonstrated negotiation skills in strategic buying/contracting and extensive knowledge of key suppliers
* Exceptional supplier relationship and contract/conflict management skills
* Ability to challenge the status quo while maintaining strong partnerships with business owners
* Excellent written and oral communication skills

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho. Joe knew the keys of running a really great store, and it was all about working hard for the customers: give them the products they want, at a fair price, with lots of tender, loving care. Joe was innovative, too. He had one of the first in-store magazine racks in the country along with a scratch bakery and fresh ice cream made in-store. He worked hard, seven days a week, on his vision to build his company, and through his inspiring work ethic and tireless
determination to run the best store, the first store thrived. Just two years later, he had opened two other stores in neighboring communities and grew the fledgling company’s sales to over $1 million by the end of 1941.
