As a Picker/ Packer II, you will be responsible for loading corrugated boxes and serialized containers onto the conveyor. Retrieving full case cartons from the conveyor and stock into reserve locations. Retrieving units from full case cartons and load/scan into serialized containers. Ensuring and acknowledge quantities match requested customer order levels. Loading product onto conveyors for processing. Constructing corrugated boxes and apply shipping labels. Visual verification of physical appearance and condition of product. Supporting VAS activities based on customer requests/orders. Scanning and load product into corrugated containers. Using RF devices to scan/complete material movements in the system. Placing ready-to-ship containers on the conveyor to be shipped to the customer.
In addition, you will have less frequent supervision, takes ownership for work and makes decisions on own work You will be responsible for troubleshooting basic problems and finding solutions within own area of responsibility. Serving as a mentor/trainer for entry level Picker/Packer. Performing some first-level, system research/troubleshooting. Seeking out and offering continuous improvement and safety suggestions. You will also be expected to serve on committees (safety, ERT) where possible.
* Minimum requirement 2-3 years warehouse experience
* Understand the general flow of the distribution center stemming from one or more prior entry-level distribution center jobs and/or cross-training experiences
* Capable of working in computer systems and collaborating with others through email.
* Effective at cultivating and maintaining work relationships.
* Effective communication skills.
