Lead Material Handler

Our new DC will deliver top-notch service to our customers while also achieving performance standards and metrics as our daily goal. Features within the DC will be automated induction, workflow management, pick to light, and automated storage retrieval systems that will facilitate meeting those goals. You will have the tools, resources, and support of our staff
Key Responsibilities
* Ability to perform all positions in the warehouse within LMS and company standards.
* Train individuals in inventory, receiving, picking, packing, quality control, sorting, loading, and replenishment functions.
* Ability to work various shifts based on staffing or DC business needs
* Must be able to operate Power Industrial Equipment as needed and maintain appropriate certification. (i.e., Order Pick, Stand-up Forklift, Reach Truck, Walkie Rider.)
* Maintain training records
Shift: 12:00pm - 8:30pm or to completion (OT may be required)
Minimum Requirements:
* HS Diploma or Equivalent
* 4+ years warehouse/distribution experience
* Leadership or supervisory experience
* Experience in an automated distribution center preferred
Critical Skills:
* Thorough knowledge of Material Handling issues
* Proficiency with MS Office Suit
* Work experience in a face-paced, distribution or warehouse environment or stock room strongly preferred; picking/packing, sorting, loading/unloading, scanning, or various other warehouse functions
* Good communication skills and ability to speak with individuals and explain processes
* Passion and commitment to the success of our team and individuals.
* Must be a positive change team member
* Ownership in the success of the individual or team.
* Good critical thinking skills with the ability to see the big picture
* Other things needed to improve and maintain the proper training and support of our DC.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift up to 75lbs
* Must be able to bend, sit, stand, twist, stoop for long periods of time
* Able to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift)
* Working with RF scanning equipment
