Responsible for defining business intelligence requirements for individual subject areas; develops conceptual data models, design, build and test sets of reporting and analytic business intelligence programs. Works cross-functionally to collect data and makes actionable recommendations at all levels. Infers trends from a variety of data sources and confidently delivers their interpretation; makes recommendations to executives. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Description

Customer Experience Product (CXP) team drives innovation in our products by crafting and trialing solutions to save customer's time and effort in handling their Comcast products and services. Our team is looking for a hands-on Sr. Analyst who can work with Comcasts data assets to become a partner for our product leaders and tackle their most sophisticated problems. Your work directly influences highly visible business decisions.



The successful candidate will:

* Proactively identify, and conduct analyses that drive meaningful change on key objectives established by Senior Leadership Team
* Responsible for transforming large, sophisticated data into consumable business databases and applications for self-service analytics and reporting
* Synthesize actionable insights by joining together large data sets from across the company, and applying appropriate analytical techniques
* Thrive in a startup environment, flexibly adjusting to changing priorities, creatively solving new problems and working to align with higher level business objectives
* Work independently and as part of a broader team across multiple projects



Core Responsibilities:

* Develop analytic plans and testable hypotheses for business questions raised by partners to ensure that all questions are addressed fully, appropriately, and accurately
* Write sophisticated SQL to query large data platforms such as Teradata, SQL server, Oracle and Hadoop to acquire data vital for analysis
* Build actionable insight and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address CX objectives
* Perform analyses of data to surface trends and insights using sophisticated analytical methods
* Measure efficiency of improvements through deep analysis of data on performance metrics
* Develop and deploy predictive models based on historical data that provide future predictions about customer behavior
* Communicate findings clearly and concisely through presentations and effective data visualizations using Tableau/Looker



Desired Skills and Experience:

* Bachelors degree in a technical field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or Statistics. Masters a plus
* Highly Proficient in SQL, Python, other relational database analytical tools
* Big Data Experience a plus working with Hadoop/Hive/Presto/Spark/AWS
* Lean forward bias to find opportunities and get results
* Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
* Effective communication skills ability to tell the story
