Job Description

GDIT is currently seeking a Systems Administrator to provide technical support for a new program that provides agency-wide Enterprise IT support. The System Administrator will serve in a vital program role, responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of IT networks, systems and infrastructure.

Provides support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
Provide support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problem
Provide support to the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers
Installs/loads operating system, new software releases, system upgrades, patches
Isolate and resolve problems involving software, hardware, applications, operating systems and communications infrastructure
Maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance
Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems, including the transition and migration of corporate systems
Support the efforts to deploy SecDevOps, Infrastructure as Code and automation efforts across the service area

Required Skills:
o Bachelor's Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
o Proven working experience as a Systems Administrator for Top Secret mission critical systems and networks
o Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware and networking protocols
o Experience with scripting and automation tools
o Strong knowledge of security, storage, and data protection protocols
o Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
o Strong attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills
o Understanding of INFOSEC policies and procedures
o Detailed knowledge of relevant government regulations and standards
o Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance, with Full-Scope Polygraph
