The AbbVie Data Security Response Analyst will support the protection of AbbVie data by having the responsibility for daily monitoring of alerts generated by AbbVies Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions and investigating sensitive data transfers. This individual will be expected to analyze available telemetry data and determine which events present a potential data loss incident and business impact to AbbVie that requires escalation to Legal, Human Resources, and Office of Ethics and Compliance. This individual will work together with Legal and Human Resources to perform appropriate DLP Remediation processes to remove AbbVie data from unauthorized locations.
Major Responsibilities:
* Perform daily monitoring and analysis of Data Loss Prevention alerts from the DLP product(s) and investigate to determine concern level for AbbVie
* Assist Global Legal and Human Resources in processing DLP Remediation requests which may include confirming that AbbVie data is removed from unauthorized locations
* Support Global Legal, Human Resources, and BTS teams on interpreting DLP alert information and providing additional information when available
* Assist with resolution of operational Data Loss Prevention technology deployment, implementation, and functional issues
* Engage with business contacts and BTS to identify sensitive data and monitor for unauthorized disclosures
* Analyze, document, and resolve complex security incidents
* Interpret and summarize technical information for presentation to non-technical business contacts
* Develop and improve processes and procedures for data protection activities
* Prepare formal incident reports in the Information Security and Data Protection Incident Management system
* Develop reports and metrics for leadership across BTS, Legal, Human Resources, and Office of Ethics and Compliance
Qualifications
Required:
* Bahelors degree with 5 years of total experience
* Ability to analyze and understand technical information
* Ability to author clear and concise incident reports
* Ability to successfully interact with non-technical in-business contacts
* Familiarity with data classification concepts and processes
Preferred:
* Experienced in a wide variety of technical solutions focused on data protection and cyber security; and experience with data loss prevention products.
* 2 years of experience in an information security discipline
* Security certifications
