ProvidesSubject Matter Expert (SME) guidance to NASA ETIS contract in the areas of flighthardware testing (primarily vibration testing) and associated systems. Thisposition is intended to be part-time, as-needed. Expected approximately 5-20hours per week depending on needs. Some work may be completed remotely, whilesome work may require on-site presence at GSFC.
* Provide expert guidance and consultation on test equipment matters, including troubleshooting guidance. This may include (but is not limited to) vibration and acoustic equipment.
* Develop and provide training to ETIS personnel as-required to increase overall level of knowledge regarding vibration and other test systems.
* Assist in review and/or development of hardware test plans and other operational test documentation.
* Responsible forresearch and/or product development in more than one engineering discipline.
'Basic Qualifications:
HS Diploma and 20+ years experience working with test equipment and activities at GSFC. Demonstrated excellence in the performance, development, and/or execution of solutions to technical and operational problems unique to flight test work, including mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
