Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Director, Digital Design to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in Parsippany, New Jersey.

The Director, Digital Design is responsible for leading the Visual Design Team for both marketing and product visual design within the Digital Design Team for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Leads, creates and delivers world-class customer experiences designed to increase bookings, guest engagement, and elevate Wyndham Hotels & Resorts family brands. Owns translating brand standards into compelling digital stories and products, and is able to bring these forward to our cross-functional partners with highly-skilled presentations. Helps optimize the digital creative production process, ensuring timelines and deliverables are achieved with excellence, efficiency and speed. Collaborates closely with the VP, Digital Design, UX/UI designers, Brand Marketing, CRM, Analytics, Loyalty, Digital Production, Development, Project Management, I.T., Global Sales, Development Marketing, and external agencies to flawlessly execute marketing and product projects across devices and platforms. Expert on design, template and build best practices including the development and adherence to them. Must have a strong design-eye and skill with typography. Must be strategic and innovative with a passion for design, management, technology and branding. Leads the growth of designers within the Visual Design Team.
Responsiblities

1 Direct and design best-in-class customer experiences for our digital product team on the websites and app that are designed to increase bookings and guest engagement
2 Help deliver direct bookings through design of smart, personalized and customer-first promotions and programs on all digital channels (websites, app, email, social, advertising, on property, etc.)
3 Elevate the power of our brands by designing engaging digital program experiences
4 Manage and art direct designers on multiple marketing and product initiatives and projects ensuring processes and timelines are followed, and that work is high-grade
5 Lead others to become great, passionate, talented designers who are expanding their careers
6 Create, manage and organize creative assets and templates with an eye on creating more efficiencies for the team
COMPLEXITY

The Director, Visual Design will work closely with the VP, Digital Creative, Manager, UX/UI and UX/UI Designer. He/she will make decisions for projects and will give recommendations to his/her manager. The Director, Visual Design Manager should be able lead a myriad of creative marketing and product projects as well as lead freelancers, vendors and internal digital designers.
Abilities/Key Competencies

Ensures creative and project deliverables are executed on target and within budget
Expertise in mobile-first, customer-centric design
Ensures presentation and brand quality standards are achieved and exceeded
Ensures language/translated content is on-point visually
Leads a range of creative marketing and product projects, leads designers on all their projects as well. Able to multi-task management with design
Owns the competitive patterning agenda for the design and build practice, and establishes recommendations to senior leadership for new experiences; Constantly innovates/ideates foreseeing whats next and presents solid recommendations to Sr. Leadership
Builds, manages and can deliver on Digital Creative Libraries, Templates and Style Guides
Performs Quality Assurance as needed and corrects issues as required for design projects
Candidate must be results-driven, proactive, innovative, solutions-oriented, curious and inspiring
Brand evolutionist with proven track record of success
Must possess flexibility of thought (move seamlessly from big-picture strategy to flawless detailed execution)
Keen prioritization/adaptation skills; Ability to shift focus as business needs dictate
Strong presentation, negotiation and communication skills (verbal and written)
Expertise in information architecture and user-centric design principles
Understanding of CMS systems and web publishing standards/best practices; Adobe Experience Manager a plus
Fluency in globalization and language best practices with regard to design
Experience & Education

* 8+ years of digital design experience for a world-class creative agency and/or hospitality, entertainment or retail brand
* 5+ years of creative leadership experience
* App and/or mobile design experience required
* Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite
* Experience in Adobe XD or similar product
* Some traditional advertising experience such as print, photography and video
* Experience with Content Management Systems such as Adobe Experience Manager a plus
* Must be able to see, use hands, hear and speak to perform the essential functions of this role
* Must supply examples of work/portfolio to be considered

REPORTING STRUCTURE

This role will report to the VP, Digital Creative. The peer for this role is the leader of UX/UI.
