As our Operations Manager, youll provide ownership support to the USSC Distribution Centers, assuring that all departmental safety, service, quality, and financial objectives are met or exceeded. Also, in this role, you will demonstrate leadership in creating a positive productive workforce. Youll lead a successful and cohesive workgroup by demonstrating a true commitment to continuous process improvement and inspire and empower staff and promote a positive employee relationship. Youll advise business processes to receive, store, process, and ship product timely and accurately to customers while optimizing operational results. You will analyze performance data for the purpose of driving key decisions around service, operations and overall logistics. You will facilitate and encourage continual improvement processes focused on making the operation more effective and flexible. Youll set and meet SMART goals for key result areas utilizing data. Initiate and lead projects to improve the operation utilizing project organization tools. Youll implement against department, facility, and goals identified on business and action plans and ensure a high level of accuracy and timeliness. Youll simplify the work, minimize errors, and involve employees from all levels in the improvement processes. Youll select, empower, develop, and evaluate department direction and associate team.

Specific activities include recruitment and selection, person to person developmental and coaching discussions, performance reviews, salary administration, professional/managerial training, HRP implementation of managers, and including CFE administration. Youll ensure consistent high-quality leadership of associates by the management team. Youll communicate the business of our operation to lead and influence the input/output of 2-8 exempt level managers and 40-150 full-time employees. You will also build and maintain interdependent relationships with peers and all functional areas within the facility (operations service, systems, facilities, etc.) Initiate cross-functional improvements, provide feedback, and help other areas as needed. You will actively contribute to the distribution administration team by assisting in the development of distribution goals and objectives, working effectively across departmental boundaries within the operation, and lead the overall shift and departmental production/efficiency goals. You will develop the annual departmental budget vital to achieving the targeted goals while purposefully pursuing the high standards of Customer Service. Youll be accountable for achieving the annual operating budget. You will also support NIKE distribution facilities worldwide with resources, consulting, and benchmarking.

- Bachelor's degree in business management preferred.

- Minimum of 5 yearsof operation direction experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of automated distribution systems.

- Experience with budget overseeing and accountability.

- Excellent project management skills in order to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

- Experience with Excel, Word, SAP, DCMS, and Kronos would be a plus.

- Excellent analytical and innovative skills for planning, sound decision-making, and problem-solving and the ability to work well under tight deadlines.

- Outstanding leadership skills.

- Ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner.

- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills, ability to lead other, and influence at various levels of the organization.

- Ability to accept and promote other ideas. Ability to empower and stay focused.

- Ability to work overtime with little or no advance notice, staying over or coming in for meetings, ability to access all areas of the warehouse, including second and third levels.
