Human Identification Division
How will you make an impact?
As a member of the Human Identification R&D group you will develop automated liquid handling solutions to improve forensic customer workflows. You will be a subject matter expert in assay automation. You should have a passion for product development, a proven track record of either developing or being experienced in liquid handling automated platforms and be comfortable working on prototype instruments.
What will you do?
* Build, adapt, and optimize automated liquid handling methods to improve forensic customer workflows
* Work on prototypes of complex instrumentation systems
* Develop and execute test plans and write reports and other documentation
* Work cross functionally with engineers, software developers, scientists, and other disciplines
* Troubleshoot technical problems and serve as a liaison with internal customer concern teams as needed
* Provide customer support
How will you get here?
Education
Bachelor's/Masters degree preferably biochemistry, molecular biology, or similar
Experience
* Hands-on experience with Hamilton or Tecan automated liquid handler systems and software including writing and optimizing scripts
* 4+ years of experience programming an automated liquid handler
* Experience with general molecular biology techniques and DNA/RNA sample extraction is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Ability to work with a team of development scientists, as well with cross functional teams
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to present in front of teams
