Rework's responsibilities include inspecting, testing, sampling, prepping, sanding and sorting products or good of critical painted components. Reworks approve batch parts for shipments while working on the production line primarily in all areas but Rework operators are not limited to this department.

Position Responsibilities

* Performing a variety of manual labor associated tasks with the repairing, prepping and coating application and production processes
* Responsibilities may include lifting and loading items, touching up painted parts, cleaning and maintaining equipment.
* Cleans, sands, preps, and coats parts as necessary to provide properly prepped product ready for paint
* Follows processes and procedures.
* Inspects parts for paint defects paying special attention to customer requirements and work instructions
* Reviews prepped and painted parts, inspects as required and evaluates paint appearance
* Performs final inspection on certain identified customer parts.
* Has the authority to reject parts.
* May package materials.
* Ensures compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations; may require the employee to wear safety equipment or gear.
* Communicates with production, maintenance, quality control and other departments to maintain a safe and effective environment and to ensure quality products.
* May operate various equipment and machinery under direct supervisor or as certified or trained.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Preferred:

Prefer ability with or without reasonable accommodation, to operate handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.)

Have 6 months of experience observing the PSP paint processes and have a sound understanding of the customer acceptance standards.
