We are looking for passionate people to join our global presales team at a time of growth in cloud networks and global managed services. Telecom and Technology is the IT Services division within NCR providing Customer Services across the globe. We design and deliver global field and managed services include enterprise networking, cloud networks (SD-WAN/NFV), wireless and optical networks. We offer a flexible working environment with a mix of home working, onsite customer meetings, excellent office facilities and the use of collaborative technology. (Travel is subject to covid-19 guidelines).
This is our entry level Architect position and a background in operations can be helpful. You will learn to design complicated global services for major customer brands across all industries. We partner with the largest telecoms, OEMs and SIs in the world to help them deliver high quality global services with an emphasis on Customer Experience (CX). It is an opportunity to learn from some of the best services experts in the industry as they will help and guide you on how to be an accomplished architect.
Location
* To be close to our customers this role will be virtual in the United States (preferably close to a major city and transport networks).
* Travel is approximately 20 - 40% of the role but may vary (currently subject to Covid-19 restrictions).
Essential Criteria
* A keen interest in technology
* A desire to work with customers and experience different cultures across leading global companies
* You will learn to design global services pulling together a mix of engineering (field operations) and managed services (remote operations) therefore a background in operations can be helpful
* A good aptitude in numbers as you will learn to craft complex cost models and commercials looking at cost, profitability and customer pricing
* High attention to detail for documentation as you will deliver customer presentations, service design documents, service models, bid review presentations, cost and price models, contracts
* You will experience how to draft, negotiate and finalise complex contracts with customers
* You will have the opportunity to be involved in executive conversations on key deals
* Any customer facing experience is highly desirable (even in a different role)
* Awareness of cloud and digital concepts with an interest in market trends
* Works well with people as you will collaborate with pricing, legal, leaders, managers, project managers, operations and many other groups
* Can demonstrate working on multiple deliverables or tasks simultaneously
* Will work with partner companies to complete your global service designs
* Will work closely with sales to explain our products and services and then follow with innovative service design
* Deliver a well-defined set of service design documents in a timely manner presenting an end to end seamless service
* Maintain informal and formal relationships with stakeholders across the business to make decision making on new opportunities straightforward
* Strong team player who is willing to share ideas and bring innovation
* A can do attitude and lots of passion
* Willing to speak up and challenge the norm bringing forward ideas on how we can improve presales and design
* Inspire our customers about how NCR can benefit their business
* Excellent interpersonal skills to help with communication and negotiation internally and externally
* Excellent written and presentation skills
