Exec Director, Supply Chain Alliance for the Uni of Texas System

Job Description

The University of Texas System is seeking the Executive Director for Supply Chain Alliance, responsible for all strategic and operational aspects of the shared services alliance across all UT components.

This includes:

* Strategic sourcing, spend analytics, purchased services, group purchasing organization (GPO) collaboration management, supplier relationship management (70+ Preferred Supplier Agreement with $600M+ annual spend), customer relationship management (15 UT System Institutions and 45+ Alliance Affiliates), financial reporting and historical underutilized business management.
* Planning, leading and directing all strategic and operational aspects of the Alliance within the UT System Office of Collaborative Business Services (OCBS).
* Working in partnership with the fifteen UT System institutions' Chief Business Officers and the fifteen Chief Procurement Officers to design and implement UT System-wide strategic solutions to supply chain operations and related support systems.
* Serves as an advisor to the UT System OCBS Executive Committee and other executive officers across UT System academic and health institutions.

Requirements:

Ten years of managerial experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, contract management or group purchasing organizations.

Prefer 15 years experience in a large medical center, large academic research institution or healthcare-related industry.

Bachelor's degree in Science, Healthcare, Business or relevant field.

Extensive knowledge and experience in supply chain management including sourcing and contracting, supply chain programmatic activities relative to academic and healthcare institutions of higher-education, long-term strategic planning, supplier relationship management, customer relationship management and managing strategic GPO relationships.

Must be dedicated to enhancing and expanding Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) programs. Must be capable of establishing credibility within UT System institutions as a functional expert and a leader in the supply chain and procurement profession.

Must also possess the leadership acumen, general management skills and strategic perspective to be a respected business partner by executive leadership and principal subject matter experts.
