As a part of our continued growth we are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Tire Specialist. We are seeking candidates who are extremely motivated and have basic mechanical abilities and automotive knowledge. Our Tire Specialist is responsible for ensuring the appropriate tires are in stock and available for our customers to purchase. The Tire Specialist will dismount large quantities of tires and separate wheels/rims for sale and recycling. This will require proficient use of required equipment for tires such as the balancer, mounting equipment, to be able to recognize acceptable and defective tires/wheels and mark as appropriate. The candidate selected for this position must have the ability to work closely and in concert with others to maximize production. Essential Job Duties

* Proficiently use the required equipment for tires such as the balancer, mounting equipment other applicable equipment including maintaining such equipment.
* Ensure equipment is maintained and materials are safely handled.
* Recognize acceptable and defective tires and wheels and mark as appropriate.
* Demonstrate the aptitude to understand when to repair or replace the tires, wheels, and other parts and clearly define all work performed to customers.
* Abide by the Company Policies such as attendance, safety, processes, teamwork, training, etc.
* Assumes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience (Level of education AND years of experience are required):

High School Diploma and/or G.E.D.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (Includes needed certifications, systems knowledge, job skills, characteristics, competencies, etc.):

Forklift/Loader operations.

Completing computer work and close vision work.

Attention to detail.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment (i.e. lifting demands, travel requirements, etc.):

Must be able to handle fast-paced environment.

Requires standing, walking, use of hands and arms to reach.

Regularly balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions with frequent exposure to wet or humid conditions.

Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds without assistance and above that with assistance.

•  2014 acquisition of Keystone Specialty, which expanded our product offering and increased our addressable market to include specialty vehicle aftermarket equipment and accessories.

•  On December 22, 2015, LKQ announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the holding company of Rhiag-Inter Auto Parts Italia
•  S.p.A (“Rhiag”), a leading pan-European business-to-business distributor of aftermarket spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Rhiag has operations in Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Spain. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
