What you'll do
* Provide pre- and post-sale technical assistance, troubleshooting and product recommendations to both internal and external customers via phone and email.
* Participate in product training and activities to develop your knowledge. Maintain an up-to-date basic knowledge of all required company products, services and their associated support literature.
* Use databases to access product information, log customer feedback, report quality issues and suggest product and process improvements.
* Become familiar with SOPs regarding maintaining accurate, complete and up-to-date information on all customer inquiries while prioritizing and processing these in an orderly and consistent manner. Follow all appropriate regulations and processes for customer queries classified as complaints.
* Give presentations/trainings remotely or face-to-face to customers or colleagues, as necessary. Participate in activities such as developing and delivering technical training, reviewing product literature, field and lab work, trade shows and system installations.
* Identify potential opportunities to convert technical inquiries into new or developed sales possibilities (e.g. lead generation, up-and cross-selling).
Who you are
* Advanced degree (Bachelors, Masters or PhD) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering or related field
* Must have a minimum of 3 years laboratory experience with Cytiva (GE Healthcare) Life Sciences equipment for Chromatography (AKTA) and/or Tangential/Normal flow filtration (RTP, Hollow fiber) and associated products.
* One or more years of technical support, field applications or sales experience emphasizing customer contact.
* Teaching or training experience including design and delivery of basic and advanced concepts to technical or non-technical individuals.
* Proven ability to contribute in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Capable of creating a positive and collaborative working relationships with colleagues, customers and field staff. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task. Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation.
* Strong communication skills. Able to present ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Actively probes for information and practices active listening.
* Industry experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology company. Familiarity with regulatory compliance in drug development
