Job Description:

This position is responsible for a variety of Accounts Payable and Accounts Payable related tax projects. Strong attention to detail is essential for success in this position. There is extensive customer interaction so excellent communication skills are a must.

Essential Job Duties:

* Code invoices or verify coding to correct accounts, verify invoices for correct approvals, and input invoices to be processed for payment
* Import railcar maintenance, freight, and storage invoice files to process
* Review AP related reports, manage and review vendors on hold, research aged outstanding checks and provide various reports to managers as directed
* Handle various inquiries from internal and external customers regarding payment issues
* Obtain W-9 and W-8 forms from vendors
* Handle various 1099 projects
* Use Word, Excel, and email to compose correspondence, compile information, handle Excel loaders, and prepare reports
* Organize departmental documents which may involve setting up procedures, scanning, filing, faxing, and storing electronic documents

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications
* 3+ years of accounting experience, operational accounting experience, or a combination of both demonstrated through work or military experience

Other Desired Qualifications
* 4+ Years of accounts payable experience
* 2+ Years of Oracle Financials experience
* Good understanding of General Ledger accounts and basic accounting
* 2+ Years of experience handling W8s/W9s/1099 filings
* Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
* Recent, directly applicable, work experience
* Excellent written and oral communication skills with consistent attention to detail due to extensive customer and/or vendor contact
* Associates degree in accounting
