Position Description:

Responsible for providing customers (new hires, managers/leaders, and HR partners ) consistent and timely guidance, and support related to talent movement, pre employment onboarding, audits, reports, learning, recruiting, employee records, terminations, and other transactions across Discover's core HR systems Leverage knowledge base and other available information to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

What Youll Do

* Develop a broad understanding of all HR programs, policies, and best practices / procedures in order to advise and resolve customer inquiries ranging from single questions to highly detailed issues.
* Complete a variety of back office related activities, including but not limited to talent movement, cyclical HR activities, audits, reports, learning, recruiting, responding to requests for data, maintaining personnel/new hire files, and other transactions across Discover's core HR systems. Consider impact of HR related transactions on
* Engage and consult with internal partners to (up to, and including, Vice Presidents) to develop strategic, credible relationships that advise on and troubleshoot gaps in hiring profiles and continually improve the pre-employment processes; assist peers in doing the same
* Periodically complete audit and reconciliation of data accordingly and leverage workflow tools to initiate and monitor completion on all activities in work lists. Update People Operations process and procedural documentation.
* Conduct periodic monitoring of end-to-end processes to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. Work with leadership to identify and address compliance issues and risks are brought to leadership
* Manage the onboarding process and experience for non-volume positions in multiple locations

Qualifications Youll Need

The Basics

* 4+ years of experience in HR Operations or other HR Related function (including training or communications); or 3 years Customer Service or HR Generalist
* 4+ years of Project Management, Communications, Documentation management, learning and development

Bonus Points If You Have

* Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Psychology, Communication or a business-related field
* 4-6 years of experience in HR Operations or an HR related function (including training or communications); 3 Years customer service experience or HR Generalist experience
* SHRM Certification
* Excellent communication (oral and written) skills, very detail oriented and must also have high sense of urgency and strong work ethic
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience with Workday or other ATS systems preferred
