Job Description

The Scheduling Coordinator / RN III provides nursing care to patients within the OR / PACU, utilizing specialized skills, knowledge and judgment in observing and reporting symptoms and condition of patient. Administers highly specialized care with complicated equipment. Gives medication and treatment under direction of physician. Demonstrates clinical competence to the area assigned. The Scheduling Coordinator / RN III collaborates with the Administrative Director of Surgical Services or assigned person in charge to coordinate the care of the assigned patients with other members of the interdisciplinary team. The Scheduling Coordinator / RN III also collaborates with the RN I,RN II and the Administrative Director of Surgical Service, Surgeons, Care Coordination, Admission Coordinator and Anesthesiologists to manage patient care and mentor the other staff to plan and carry out the orientation of new staff. The Schedule Coordinator / RN III may act as a charge person in the absence of the Administrative Director of Surgical Services which will include supervising and directing the 24 hour operations and activities of the Surgical Services department.

* Bachelor Nursing Preferred
* 5 Years Operating Room Preferred
* 5 Years PACU or PICU Preferred
* 3 Years Pediatric Preferred
* RN license in state of practice Required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required OR
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
